Initiative to advance the Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11n standartd in Ukraine was supported by Russia

This year joint work of the Association Wireless Ukraine and UNIIRT on the official entrance of «wireless standard» 802.11n connection to Ukraine has been successfully completed.

The Research Institute of Radio plans by the autumn of this year to prepare rules of application equipment for the operation and in Russia for the standard connection 802.11n. The necessary research to determine conditions for standard equipment usage in bands 2400—2483,5 MHz, 5150—5350-5650-MHz and 5725-MHz is already under way. Planned period of the work is October 2009, reported the official partners of the Association in Russia — Comnews company.

It should be noted that the Wireless Ukraine includes such major Russian companies as Comptek, Infinet Wireless, Vita Service, «Sitronics Information Technology etc. The Association is also actively cooperating with the official partner in Russia — Infocommunication Union (previously — Association for 3G), based by the largest mobile operators VimpelCom, MegaFon, Mobile TeleSystems, Moscow Cellular Communications».
